Mamie was married to J.E. Northrip on March 25, 1946, in Dequeen, Arkansas. Mamie was proceded in death by her parents: Webbie D. and Pearl Melton.

Six Brothers: Dewey, Haskel, Coy, Edward, Odell and Chellis Melton. Also, a great grandson Leland James Deaton. Mamie is survived by three children and their families: Jerrall Northrip of Atoka, Oklahoma Terry and Evone Northrip of Idabel, Oklahoma and their children, Terry Jon and Wendy Northrip and their children, Emma, Chloe and Eli of Oklahoma City.

Becky Paulson and her children Elijah and Zephaniah of Atoka, Oklahoma. Tia Jasper and daughter Gabrielle of Idabel, Oklahoma. Gavin Jasper and his children Javin, Avianna and Duke of California.

James and Janice Deaton of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, their children Philip and Christy Deaton and their children Preston, Leah and Justice of Davis, Oklahoma. Gary Deaton and Alexia Deaton and their children, Skyler, Payton and Wyatt of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. A special daughter from another mother and father Carla Carter of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and her children Eric Carter and family of Tishomingo, Frank and Aubrey Carter and family of Celina, TX.
