Marcella’s Obituary Marcella R. Brockway, age 91, passed away on December 27, 2018 in Winter Haven, FL. She was born January 14, 1927 in Merrill, Wisconsin to the late David and Frieda (Bruessow) Rajek. A resident of Lake Wales, Fl since 1996, Marcella is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hoadley Brockway who passed away in 2003.

After Donald’s WWII service as a Marine Corps Officer, Donald and Marcella met while students at the University of Wisconsin. Marrying in 1949, the couple resided in San Diego, CA during Donald’s service in the Korean War, Duluth, MN, and Pittsburgh, PA during his employment with U.S. Steel Corp. before retiring first to Brevard, NC and finally Lake Wales, Fl.

Mrs. Brockway graduated from Merrill High School in Merrill, WI, and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She earned certification in English and Spanish by the State of Wisconsin. Survivors include her daughter Sharon L. Boley of Allentown, PA; sons, Donald H. Brockway Jr. of Helena, AL, and Kenneth A. Brockway of Hillsborough, NC; three grandchildren, Donald H. Brockway III, Jake Ryan Brockway, and Willa Adeline Brockway.

She is preceded in death by two brothers Edgar Rajek and her twin, Howard Rajek.
