Martinez, GA…… Mrs. Marcella Walters Slusser, 91, wife of the late Thurman Richard Slusser, entered into rest on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Westwood Nursing Home. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 31, 2018 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Elder officiating.

Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Slusser attended National Hills Baptist Church but has served at various churches. She was a longtime pastor’s wife.

Survivors include two sons, Les Slusser and his wife Jackie of Martinez, GA and Mark Slusser of Grovetown, GA; one daughter, Carol Weingart and her husband Doug of Sarasota, FL; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening, Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Honorary Pallbearers will be the grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, Dr. Kevin & MaryAnne Steele, Westwood Nursing Home Staff, Frank Barefield, and members of Crossroads EMC of Marshfield, MO and Memorials may be made to the Wesley Community Fellowship, P.O Box 80160, Conyers, GA 30013 or to Crossroads EMC, 104 W.
