Margaret A. Fiechtner, 84, of Parker, CO, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2018. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Louis J. Fiechtner, sons, Louis Joseph Fiechtner and Lee Jeffrey Fiechtner , and grandchildren. Margaret was born in Cressona Pa.

on August 31, 1933 to Helen and Joseph Durish. She lived in Cressona until she graduated from Cressona High School in 1952. She then applied for a job with the FBI in Washington D. C. and was accepted, so she moved to Washington.

She worked in the fingerprint department of the FBI. until she met Louis Fiechtner, who was in the Air Force at the time. They were married on May 12, 1956 in Pottsville, Pa.

They had their first child on August 7, 1959. She became a stay at home mom for approximately 3 years, and then took a job with Geico which lasted until the birth of her second son born on April 2, 1968 After time off to raise her sons, she took a job with Suburban Bank located in Temple Hills, Maryland which eventually became Nations Bank. She remained with Nations Bank (merged and became Bank of America) until she retired in 1995.

Moved to Dover, Delaware in December of 1995 and lived there until her stroke in April 2005. Was in nursing home until May 2007 when she was then moved to Castle Rock Care Center in Colorado. Again moved to Crown Crest of Parker in October 2013.

Nursing home was renamed Avantara of Crown Crest. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area “C”.
