Obituary for Margaret Fitzgerald Griffin Margaret Fitzgerald Griffin, age 89, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 7, 2018 and is now residing in Heaven. Beloved wife of the late Joseph U. Griffin. Mother of Joseph P. Griffin (Christine), Ted Griffin and Don Griffin (Kimberly).

Grandmother of Candace Voisin (Cade), Brandi Marlowe (Jonathan) and Mary Olivares (Logan). Great Grandmother of Jonathan Marlowe II, Griffin Marlowe, Elena Olivares, Lillian Marlowe, and Annabelle Voisin. Margaret is also survived by and will be lovingly missed by her two sisters, Joan Kerlec and Joyce Hernandez (Earl); one brother, William Fitzgerald (Manny) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Jane Lee Fitzgerald; three sisters, Rose Riehm, Mary Blum and Agnes Thomisee; two brothers, Edwin Fitzgerald and James Fitzgerald. A special thanks to Dr. James “Jimmy” Ellis at West Jefferson Medical Center, as well as Margaret’s caregivers at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in River Ridge, LA and Bayside Health Care Center in Gretna, LA all of whom provided compassion to Margaret and her loved ones. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 9AM until 11AM.

A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
