MARGARET’s Obituary Margaret (Collins) Halterman widow of Alfred Kenneth Halterman, of Roanoke, died Friday, January 18, 2019, in Pheasant Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center, Roanoke. She was born January 16, 1916, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Harmon R. Collins and Catherine (Sellers) Collins. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Halterman was employed by Augusta Co-Op.

She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by two step-sons, Frank Halterman, Richard Halterman, and a step-daughter, Arlene Houser. Family members include two daughters, Carolyn Toms of Staunton and Kay Ferguson (Gary) of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2019, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Lee Thomas. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery.
