Funeral for Margaret Johnson Sanderson, 91, of Danville will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Enon Baptist Church , at 4:00 PM with Rev. Steve Ledbetter officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery.

Visitation will be two hours before the service at the church. Mrs. Sanderson, who died Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born, August 5, 1926, to Biddie Lee Johnson and Muriel Sullivan Johnson. She was a lifetime member of Enon Baptist Church and a wonderful example of what a Christian should be.

She was the most selfless, loving, kind, caring and compassionate mother, grandmother and Nanny to everyone that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband – Leo Sanderson, parents, 3 brothers – Wendell Johnson, Ronnie “Pete” Johnson and John Lee Johnson, sister Willene Hensley. Survivors include Son – Danny (Karen) Sanderson Daughter – Brenda Powell 3 Brothers – Don Johnson, Jimmy Johnson and Kenny “Frog” (Sheila) Johnson 7 Sisters – Opal Ferguson, Patsy Blaxton, Peggy McCullough, Andrea (John) Orr, Sandra Jackson, Kathy (Vicky) Brown and Sharon (Billy) Appleton 6 Grand Children – Angie (Ricky) Morris, Kelly (Willard) Roberts, Kristi (Tim)Graham, Terri (Joey) Jackson, Lance Smith and Tyler Grimes 11 Great Grand Children – Clay Graham, Kelsey Graham, Kaley Jeffreys, Abby Morris, McKenna Jackson, Memphis Grimes, Joplin Grimes, Weston Smith, Zane Smith and Kabri Smith and Laura (Jason) Jones.

great great grandchild Jack Jones. Many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Willard Roberts, Tim Graham, Joey Jackson, Ricky Morris, Kenny “Frog” Johnson and Vicky Brown.

The family expresses great appreciation to the 3rd floor nursing staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital, Dr. Penot, Dr. Harris and Southern Care Hospice for the special care given to her.
