OBITUARY Margaret Viera August 22, 1937 – December 15, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Margaret “Peggy” (Rose) Viera, age 81, of Swansea passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Viera. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Almeida) Rose.

Peggy worked for Weight Watchers for over twenty years before retiring. She was a member of the Lions Club in Attleboro and was an avid country line dancer. She is survived by three children, Patricia Viera of Swansea, Christopher Viera and his wife Vida of North Dighton and Anne-Marie Ruest and her husband Richard Jr. of Bristol.

She was the mother of the late Kenneth Viera. She was also survived by her nine grandchildren, Crystollee, Kenneth Jr., Christine, Meagan, Alyssa, Jade, Jovany, Victoria and Vincent; seven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Motte, Ida Crowninshield, Antone Rose and her twin Madeline Matarese.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Saint Dominic’s Church, 1277 G.A.R. Hwy. , Swansea. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.

Contributions may be made in her honor to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Framingham, MA 02241-7705. Arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea.
