Obituary for Margot Cord Margot Cord’s spirit was released from her body on Sunday, October 14th , 2018. She was born to Frederick and Margaret Cord on January 4th, 1939. Margot’s parents and her brother John preceded her into the light of God’s love.

Margot loved deeply and was deeply loved. She truly believed ‘Life is Good”. Born in New York City, she grew up in Jackson, MI and Saranac Lake, NY.

Margot attended Boston University and worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 44 years. In retirement Margot worked at Barnes and Noble, as books were one of her passions. Margot also loved her friends and family, sports, music, beaches, travel and cats.

She was a member of The Cousteau Society. Margot is survived by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cord, five nieces and nephews; Michael Cord, Kathleen (Cord) Casey, Nancy Cord-Baran, Matt Cord and Carolyn (Cord) Seagraves as well as eleven great-nieces and nephews and six great-great-nieces and nephews. We are extremely grateful to all her friends and especially the staff at Carrington Place and Hospice and Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 23rd, at 10:30 AM St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Chester Heights, PA. Interment will be with her parents at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Framingham, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Special Olympics or Bournelyf Special Camp, 1066 S. New Street, West Chester, PA 19382.
