Seneca, S.C. Marguerite Millicent Fucito English, 103 of 604 North Hampton Rd, Seneca went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Cottingham Hospice House. She was born December 20, 1915 to the late Francis J. Fucito and Elizabeth Fucito Tregenza in Dover, N.J. She was married to the late Daniel C. English of the home.

After high school, Maguerite attended the Wharton Business School with her first fulltime job as Office Manager for Prudential Insurace Co. Upon… retiring to South Carolina, Marguerite served on the Saint Francis Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed many years of tutoring young students at Northside Elementary School through the Literacy Program. She also spent many years volunteering at the Oconee Memorial Hospital gift shop, was actively motivated in the Special Olympics and the local food bank.

Marguerite was an avid water color painter and enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel Crawford English and her son, Keith Thomas English, she is survived by children Daniel Crawford English, Jr. of Rockaway, N.J., Brenda Hotelling English of Randolph, N.J., Glenn David English and wife Pati of Seneca, S.C. Survivors also include grandchildren, Daniel C. English III and wife Rachel Duncan of Seneca, S.C. Craig Thomas English of Wilton Manors, FL, Glenn David English, Jr. and Alexa Brandt of Seneca, S.C. and Scott Patrick English of Seneca, S.C., Kristen Gerhart of Randolph, N.J., and Jessica Gerhart of Randolph, N.J. along with great grandchildren, Daniel Crawford English IV of Morris Plains, N.J., Laura Duncan and Husband Aaron Burafato of Cardinal, VA, Carlie Raye English of Seneca, S.C. and great-great-grandson, Rory Burafato. Mrs. English died of natural causes.

Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Viewing will be at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church 170 Bountyland Rd. Seneca, from 4-5:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2019 with mass at 5:00 pm and a reception to follow in Papineau Hall.

Flowers are accepted and donations can be made to the St. Paul’s Catholic Church Building Fund, or to the Cottingham Hospice House. The family is at their respective homes.
