Maria B. Lopez December 21, 2018 MARIA BEATRIZ LOPEZ Maria Beatriz Lopez, age 96 of Laredo, entered into the presence of the Almighty on Friday, December 21, 2018 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on February 11, 1922 in Laredo, Texas to Arnulfo San Miguel and Bernarda Duron. Mom was a devoted Catholic who was a kind-hearted and caring, serving the Lord to the best of her ability.

For many years, Mom was a parishioner at San Agustin Cathedral. She was a loving mother, wonderful grandmother and a hard working woman, who always instilled in her children hard work and moral values. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodolfo Lopez.

Sons, Juanito Lopez, Emilio Lopez and Daniel Lopez. Daughters, Antonieta Perez and Yolanda Esparza. Sons-in-law, Arturo Perez and Juan Esparza, Jr. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Daniel Fraga Jr., Juan Esparza Jr. and Destiny Rae Perez.

Being an only child she left behind a legacy of five generations. Beatriz is survived by her children, Rodolfo (Rose) Lopez Jr., Rosa Lopez, Mary (Beto) Villarreal, Julie Lopez, Janie Lopez -Salazar, Jerry Lopez and Terry Lopez. 35 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

The family appreciates the medical care of Dr. Gilberto G. Lozano, Dr. Mahani and Hospice Care by Altus. Mom’s last years were made comfortable by the loving care of our sisters Julie and Terry Lopez. Death: December 21, 2018 Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave.

Funeral services will begin departing on Friday, December 28, 2018 from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at San Agustin Cathedral. Committal services will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery-Veteran’s Section.
