OBITUARY Maria D. Nolasco December 22, 1937 – December 18, 2018 Maria de la luz Paez Nolasco went Home to an eternal Christmas on December 18, 2018, four days shy of her 81st birthday. Born December 22, 1937, she emigrated from Monterrey, Mexico in 1963 with Fausto Nolasco, her newly-wed husband. Settling in Houston, Texas, she gave birth to and raised two daughters and three sons: Fausto, John, Angel (deceased), Maria, and Lourdes.

A very active member of Resurrection parish for 55 years and the Catholic Charismatic Center for 45 years, Catholicism was central to her daily life, and Jesus Christ and his beloved Blessed Mother were her dearest friends, whom she credited for her joy and happiness. Her many friends and collaborators in numerous parochial and civic organizations over the decades knew her for her spirit of work and service in getting things done for the spiritual and physical good of others. She loved “round two” of child rearing when it came to her grandchildren, on whom she showered love and affection until her last days.

Visitation and Rosary begin at 8:30 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church on Friday, December 21, 2018, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. May eternal rest shine upon her.
