Maria “Armanda” de Fatima da Lomba Rocha Goncalves originally from Assomada, Cape Verde passed in Boston, Massachusetts surrounded by her loving family on October 22, 2018. She leaves her husband Antero R. Goncalves. Her children Maria Filomena de Brito, Madga Rocha Goncalves, Maria Joana Barros, Maria Madalena Rodrigues, Eurico Rocha Goncalves, Tito Olavo Goncalves, Alzira Estefania Henry, Joao Jose Goncalves and Edna Rocha Goncalves.

She was blessed to have twenty one grand children and eight great grand children. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to cherish her memories. She was the pillar and matriarch of the family, Known as the beloved mother of the Cape Verdean Community, devoted catholic and church member of St. Peter Parish, she will be missed by so many in her community, family and church family.

Visitation with family on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5-8 PM at St.Peter Parish, 278 Bowdoin Street, Dorchester, MA 02122. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10 AM also from the church. Interment will follow to New Calvary Cemetery, Harvard Street, Mattapan, MA 02126.
