Maria was born on June 10, 1969 in Kenosha, the daughter Tomas & Cristina (Quintimalla) Gonzales Sr She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.

Maria married Rick Sebena on April 22, 2008 in Kenosha. She was a homemaker for many years. Her hobbies included cheering for the Bears and biking.

Survivors include her husband, Rick Sebena; children, Keith Hines Jr., Marcus Hines, April Heard; mother, Cristina Gonzales; brothers, Tomas (Maria) Gonzales, Antonio Gonzales, Rolando Gonzales, Leonardo Gonzales; sister, Criselda Estrada; grandchildren, Isahbelianah, Nalaleia, Amariella, Dejarrion, and Lorelei.
