Maria Socorro Alvarado Licea April 19, 1945 – March 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Maria Socorro Alvarado Licea, 73, of San Antonio, Texas passed Monday, March 18, 2019, and will forever and lovingly be missed by all those in her life. Maria was born to Manuel Alvarado and Elisa B. Alvarado, April 19, 1945, in San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi. She married Cristobal Castillo Licea in October, 1972, and raised 3 children.

She leaves as her legacy 3 children: Maria Magdalena Licea-Leos (Antonio R. Leos Jr.), Cristobal Jesus Licea (Amber Kurosky), Margarita Licea Nguyen (Guy Nguyen), along with 6 grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory 2 siblings, Ofelia A. Perez, (sister), and Juan Manuel Alvarado (brother). Her children remember her as a dedicated wife, mother, servant of the Lord, and exceptionally talented artist and avid collector.

She was preceded in death by Micaela Alvarado, (Sister), Maria de Jesus Resendez, (sister), and Margarita Hernandez, (sister), and Jose Antonio Alvarado, (brother). A visitation is scheduled for March 25, 2019, 3:30-8:30 at San Antonio Mortuary 703 Palo Alto Rd. , San Antonio, TX 78211.

The prayer service will begin promptly at 7:00 pm. The grave side memorial service will be held at First Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, March 26 th , 2019 at 11:00a.m. There will not be a procession, everyone is to meet at the cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to Cristobal C. Licea (surviving spouse).

The family would also like to thank the staff at Four Seasons Hospice for their loving care and service.
