OBITUARY Marian Gail Rappaport October 9, 1941 – September 16, 2018 Marian Jones-Rappaport was born Oct. 9, 1941 and passed Sept. 15 at the age of 77.

Marian had an idyllic childhood growing up in a small farm community with loving parents where she enjoyed working the farm with her older sisters. She refused a basketball scholarship at a larger university to attend Angelo State College that was closer to home. After Angelo State, Marian went on to complete her degree at the University Texas in Education where she met and married Allen Rappaport on December 28th, 1964 in Midland, Texas.

Marian taught Social Studies in both Public and Catholic Junior High Schools and was highly regarded. She also installed two butterfly gardens in Cedar Falls, loved driving her 1954 MGTF convertible, enjoyed United States and foreign travel, and was a talented ballroom dancer. She is survived by her husband Allen, 3 children; Mark, David, and Paul, 2 Sisters; Darlene Allen and Paula Cox, and brothers Don Reginald and David Randall, as well as 7 grandchildren; Ashley, Cole, Laura, Tessa, Wells, Ella, and Myah.

Celebration of Life: A celebration of Marian’s life is scheduled to take place at the Johnson’s Funeral Chapel at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 24, 2018. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00-10:00 AM. Marian will be buried with her family in San Angelo, Texas at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

FAMILY She is survived by her husband Allen, 3 children; Mark, David, and Paul, 2 Sisters; Darlene Allen and Paula Cox, and brothers Don Reginald and David Randall, as well as 7 grandchildren; Ashley, Cole, Laura, Tessa, Wells, Ella, and Myah. Preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Louise Grantham Jones.
