OBITUARY Marian Iva Groves March 7, 1928 – November 8, 2018 Marian Iva Groves, 90, of Kokomo, passed away at 4:10 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her residence. She was born to the late William Henry and Freda (Pitman) Heronemus. Marian married Clifford Groves on June 6, 1949 in Kokomo, he preceded her in death in 1983.

Marian graduated from Kokomo High School in 1946. Throughout the years, she was involved in planning many reunions for her classmates. She was employed at Delco Electronics for over 30 years before her retirement.

She was active as a member of KOFF Club and member of the UAW #292. Marian enjoyed bowling and was on a bowling league for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherill Rose-Hill; two sons, William “Bill” Groves and Richard “Rich” (Terri) Groves; daughter-in-law, Melody Groves; eleven grandchildren, Mike (Nichole Fisher) Rose, Mitchell (Candace) Groves, Mason (Molly Fivecoate) Groves, Mariah Groves, Clayton (Melissa) Groves, Sam Trent, Amber Groves, Kelsey (Megan Rodenbeck) Groves, Jennifer (Josh) Tharp, Mark (Tasha) Branch, and Rachel (Andy) Nikoloff; twenty seven great-grandchildren; sister, Sue (Dale) Hight; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death is her loving husband of 34 years, Clifford; son, Marc Groves; daughter-in-law, Missy Groves; son-in-law, Mike Hill; two grandchildren, Tom Rose and Kristi Rose; two brothers, Allen Heronemus and Dick Heronemus; and sister, Gene (Verne) Corn. There will be a visitation for Marian on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at Ellers Mortuary Main Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo.

There will be Celebration of Life immediately following the visitation at 1917 North Buckeye Street, Kokomo. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marian’s granddaughter, Kristi Rose, to Endometriosis Research Center (ERC), envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
