OBITUARY Mrs. Marie D Keys August 22, 1923 – July 23, 2018 Marie D. Keys, a long resident of Charlottesville, passed away on July 23, 2018. Marie was born on August 22, 1923, to Coleman Robert David and Eva Young David. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Grover B. Keys; her sisters Louise Johnson and Mary (Lete) David; and brother Mack David.

She is survived by her devoted son, Michael Wayne Keys; sisters Joyce Ann Dillon, Eliza Perdue, Dot Fisher; nieces Betty, Ruth, Barbara Ann, and Virginia; and other loving cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as her devoted, loving dog, Spanky. Marie liked to sew, garden, and bake pies and cakes. Before her bad health, she was always helping someone.

She was a member of Cherry Avenue Christian Church. Marie retired from GE. She will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends at Teague Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, from 6-7pm. Interment at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, VA, will be on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 2pm. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey D. Alexander, MD, Dr. Frazier Fortenberry, MD, and nurse Malisa Lacy RN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
