OBITUARY Marie Elizabeth Jarratt Hare February 20, 1926 – July 16, 2018 Marie Elizabeth Jarratt Hare – February 26, 1926 – July 16, 2018 Marie Elizabeth Jarratt Hare passed peacefully into the next life at 1:50 PM on Monday afternoon July 16, 2018, at home in Loraine, TX, at age 92 with her loving family and caregiver by her side after Psalm 91 had been read allowed and a recording of the Hymn “In The Garden” in the middle of the last chorus. Marie was born on February 20, 1926, in Loraine to parents A. Ervin Jarratt and Mary Jena Norcross Jarratt and raised in Loraine. She attended Loraine High School and was of Christian faith.

After high school, Marie had become a dental assistant to Dr. Young in Roscoe, TX for several years before marrying. Marie met Billie Lee Hare (teach/coach of Roscoe) and later Marie was married to Billie Lee Hare in Hobbs, NM, December 26, 1949. Marie and Bill later moved to, and lived most of their married life in Monahans, TX raising 3 children where he was a teacher for more than 26 years and she worked as a bookkeeper.

Bill preceded Marie in death February 19, 2012. Marie spent the latter part of her life in Loraine, TX with her dear sister, Mary Lucile Frazier, who preceded Marie in death on July 10, 2014. Marie was also preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Irving Jarratt of Midland, Texas, William Jarratt of Ruidoso, N.M., John Jarratt of Loraine, Texas, and Dudley Jarratt of Houston.

Marie is survived by her 3 beloved children, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Daughter: Ann Leigh Hare Hebisen (and husband Gary Hebisen) of Lubbock, TX; Grandson: Brian Hebisen (and wife Cherie) of Lubbock; Granddaughter: Camille Tsilibakis of Adelaide, South Australia (and husband Anthony); Great-grandchildren: Ashley (and husband Conner), Patrick (and wife Julia), Nicholas and William; Great-Great-grandchildren Jaxxon and Peter (sons of Ashley and Conner); Daughter – Betty Gay Hare Smith of May, TX; Grandson – Eric Smith of Austin; Granddaughter – Mindy Smith Camp of Austin (and husband Brian); Son – Jarratt Dean Hare of Canyon Country, CA. Marie is also survived by loving nieces and nephews as follows: children of brother Irving Jarratt – Arnold Jarratt of New Braunfels, Art Jarratt of Odessa, Jena Prince of Midland, Ruth Jarratt Ewing of Ruidoso, NM; child of brother William Jarratt- Kathryn Walker also of Ruidoso.

Marie is additionally survived by her loving caregiver, Susie Epperson, along the entire Don Epperson family and friends of Loraine who took care of Marie in love for the last four years right up and through until the last moments of her life. Marie was a woman who could best be described as a true Altruist spending her life putting other peoples’ needs and happiness ahead of her own. Marie was first and foremost a mother who loved her family with all her heart.

Marie loved being outdoors, especially gardening, and was often giving neighbors and friends fruit or vegetables from her garden. Graveside Rights services plans: 2:00 PM Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the Roscoe Cemetary in Roscoe, TX. Arrangements in Mitchell County were under direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home, Colorado City.
