Marie’s Obituary Marie Pickett Everhart, age 90, of Lexington passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Grayson Creek in Welcome. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. Rick Lebaube officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Everhart was born in Davidson County on June 12, 1928 to William McKinley Pickett and Sadie Leigh Everhart Pickett.

She was a retired dairy farmer having worked with her late husband for many years and was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Following her retirement she was employed in the office of the Farmer Co-operative Livestock Market for 21 years. Mrs. Everhart was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Ellis Everhart. Surviving are her son, Joel Robert Everhart (Phyllis); her daughter, Marsha Everhart Berrier (Gary); her sister, Jo Nell Hayes all of Lexington; four grandchildren, Christy Stilwell (Shane), Robbie Everhart (Salina), Jennifer Kincaid (Jason) and Jessica Nehra (Varun); and six great-grandchildren, Delaney and Ava Stilwell, Braxton and Eli Everhart, and Sydney and Scarlett Kincaid. Memorials may be directed to Bethesda United Methodist Church at 2922 Bethesda Road, Lexington, NC 27295 or to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
