Obituary for Marilyn Camp Marilyn T. Camp, 90, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away on Saturday, September 8th at MeadowBrook of Granby. She was born in Cheshire on Oct. 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Randolph and Fannie (Terrell) Camp.

A graduate of Lewis High School class of “45”, she was a proud Yankee Maid, one of the first female basketball players in the country. She worked at the Plantsville Post Office and then later started her own dry cleaning business in Plantsville. Prior to her retirement Marilyn was a Certified Nurse’s Aide at Brittany Farms Health Care Center.

This is where her care and compassion for others really shined. She is survived by her nieces Nancy Camp and husband Raymond Hanley of Simsbury and Cynthia Camp of Issaquah, WA, nephews Randolph C. Camp III of Seattle, WA and David C. Camp of Berlin. She was predeceased by a brother Randolph C. Camp II.

Thank you to the kind workers at MeadowBrook of Granby for your caring attention. Calling hours will be on Thursday, Sept. 13th from 11 am -12:30 pm when a service will be held at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
