Obituary for Marilyn Jackson On Wednesday, December 26, 2018, Marilyn Margaret Jackson, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 87. Marilyn was born July 8, 1931 in Marion, Ohio, to Helen Lynn and Charles Lynn. She attended Delaware Willis High School and graduated in 1950.

On June 5, 1954, she married the love of her life, Auvil Jackson. They built their family home in Powell, Ohio, and raised two children, Stephen Jackson and Karen Krouse. Over the years, Marilyn dedicated herself to caring for others – she loved cooking for her family, and made sure no one ever went without a birthday celebration and her signature chocolate cake.

She was always impeccably dressed, kept her home impossibly tidy, and loved to go to the movies every Friday with her childhood friend, Barbara Cannon. Her beautiful smile and warm spirit will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Auvil, children, Steve (Sandy) and Karen, three grandchildren, Mary Garrick (David), Kyle Jackson (Alicia) and Ryan Jackson (Lauren), and five great-grandchildren, Stella, Hadley, Jason, Riley and Luke.

She is preceded in death by brother James Lynn. Calling hours will be held Friday, December 28, 2018, at Rutherford Funeral Home, 450 W. Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a brief service immediately following. There will be a private burial.
