Obituary for Marilyn Kay Whitmire Marilyn Kay Whitmire of Kenefic, OK passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 in Durant at the age of 59. She was born on October 7, 1958 in Durant, OK to Raymond Dale Whitmire and Venita Louise Allen. Marilyn graduated from Durant High School and married Huey Dale Whitmire in Kenefic, OK on March 17, 1978.

They spent 40 wonderful years together. Marilyn worked as the Activity’s Director for Four Seasons Nursing Center for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Dale Whitmire and Venite Louise Whitmire. Survivors include her loving husband Huey Whitmire of the home; two children, Chrissie and Raymond Whitmire of Durant, OK; brother, Larry Minchey and wife Arlene of Soper, OK; sister, Ruth White and husband Merl of Madill, OK; sister, Kathy Willeby of Denison, TX; special niece, Beth Daniel of Durant, OK and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Services are pending.
