Marilyn S Coey , September 07, 1946 — November 17, 2018

Marilyn Sue Coey, 72, formerly of Jaffrey, died early Saturday morning, November 17, 2018, at the Keene Center Genesis Eldercare, following a period of declining health. She was born, in Coldwater, MI, on September 7, 1946, the daughter of Curtis Rex and Dorothy Della (Bogart) Robbins. As a young girl, her family moved to California.

She was a proud and hardworking employee, finding success within her career as a Department Manager at Wal-Mart in Rindge for 20 years. An avid sports fan, Marilyn enjoyed playing basketball, bowling and softball, attending her children’s sports games and watching our New England sports teams. She enjoyed sitting in the sun, the ocean, and listening to music.

Her hobbies included arts and crafts, especially making floral arrangements and decorating her home for the seasons. She is survived by her children: Emily Coey of Keene, Tyson Coey and his wife Kate, of Townsend, MA, Amy Coey of Winchester, and Jon Sherman of Henniker, NH; her mother, Dorothy Robbins of Costa Mesa, CA; her siblings: Larry Robbins and his wife Joanne of Costa Mesa, Carol Cherney and her husband Rich of Cody, WY and Eric Robbins and his wife Elaine of also of Cody, WA; six grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. An hour of Visitation will be held at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River St., Jaffrey, on Saturday, December 1st, 2018, from 10am until 11am.

A Memorial Service will follow at 11am. Graveside committal services, in the Cutler Cemetery, will be held at a later date in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made, in Marilyn S. Coey’s name, to The MSA Coalition at (www.
