Marilyn Schwanke, age 86, a resident of Land O’Lakes, WI since 1996 and formerly of Milwaukee, WI, passed away on Thursday December 27, 2018 at the Avanti Healthcare Center in Minocqua, WI. She was born on September 26, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI to Milton and Lorraine Hertzberg. She married Robert Schwanke in 1953.

Marilyn enjoyed knitting club, gardening and reading. She was active in the Land O’Lakes Lutheran Outreach Church. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran in Phelps, WI.

She is survived by her children: Mark (Linda) Schwanke of Scandia, MI, Tom (Joanne) Schwanke of Land O’Lakes, WI and Lorri (Kirk) Anderson of Minocqua, WI; step sister: Retta Strehlow of Cedarberg, WI; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 5, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Phelps, WI.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
