Marilyn T. Goodrow died peacefully on July 7, 2018 at the Barron Center in Portland, ME. She was born on January 21, 1934 in Amsterdam, NY to Evelyn and Thurlow Wilson. Marilyn graduated in 1953 from Roessleville High School in Colonie, NY.

She grew up in Albany, NY where she later met her future husband, Cornelius R. Goodrow Jr They were married on May 15, 1954. She was a homemaker and mother of 3 children.

She later worked with her husband in Ballston Spa, NY where they owned the Goodwhip Restaurant and Bakery. In 1980, they moved to Oakland, ME and purchased Goody’s Variety Store. A few years later, they moved to Painesville, OH.

Marilyn moved back to Maine in 1988 following the death of her husband. She resided at Seton Village for many years, where she was a council officer. Marilyn enjoyed ceramics, art, cribbage and Bingo.

She was also a member of Notre Dame Corpus Christi Parish. In 2012, she moved to the Portland Center for Assisted Living. Marilyn is survived by: her son, James Goodrow & wife Donna of Oakland, ME; daughter, Robin Harris & husband Jeffrey of Jefferson, OH; sister-in-law, Eleanor Wilson of Colonie, NY; Tom and Anita Crews of Skowhegan, ME; grandchildren: Jason Goodrow of Newnan, GA; Shelby Hondo and husband Daniel of Portland, ME; Stephan Harris and fiancée Jessica of Madison, OH; Thurlene Frowerk and husband Ian of Jefferson, OH; Cara Harris of Jefferson, OH; Megan Flagg and husband David of N. Yarmouth, ME; Brooke Burnette and husband Kevin of Jefferson, OH; Alan Harris of Erie, PA; Dustin Burgess of Skowhegan, ME; Lucas Goodrow of Skowhegan, ME; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was predeceased by: her parents; husband; brother, James Wilson; son, Wayne Goodrow and his wife Dawn. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Barron Center and Compassus Hospice for their love and compassion for Marilyn these last few weeks. Private burial will be in Memory Garden in Colonie, NY at a later date.
