Marion Mong, of Mt. Kisco, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. She was 94.

Daughter of the late Michael and Mary Johnston, she was born in Ireland on July 15, 1924. Marion was a retired Nursing Assistant and Transporter for the Northern Westchester Hospital, where she worked for 30 years. In 2008 she received The Mary B. Robbins Beacon of Light Award for volunteering over 4,562 hours at the hospital, where she was known for her vibrant and infectious personality and her genuine caring and compassion for patients and staff.

One of six children who came to the United States in 1942, she is survived by Nieces, Deirdre Bender, Maureen Ponessi and Mary Bartley; nephews Michael Bender and George Fisher, Grand Niece Aimee Colandrea; and several Grand and Great Grand Nieces and Nephews. Memorial Visitation will take place on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Oelker, Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street, Mt. Kisco, NY.

A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery, Mt. Kisco, NY.
