Marjorie E. Nelson, 95, of Mill Street, Johnsonburg, died, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Lutheran Home of Kane, PA. A daughter of the late John Henry and Elizabeth (Meyrick) Griffiths, she was born in Hanley Stoke-On-Trent, UK on February 8, 1923. Being born and raised in the United Kingdom, she married George F. Nelson on March 2, 1945 in the UK.

He preceded her in death on November 24, 1988. Marjorie has been a Johnsonburg resident since arriving in the USA, with her daughter, aboard the Queen Mary in 1946. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and taking care of her family.

She is survived by: two daughters, Barbara E. (Darryl) Sherwood of Newark Valley, NY and Yvonne E. (John) Maletto of Johnsonburg, PA; four grandchildren, Lorri Maloney of Groton, NY, Brian (Michelle) Sherwood of Newark Valley , NY, Jon Maletto of Kane , PA, and Toni-Jo (Rick) Shipe of Johnsonburg, PA; and eight great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Jonny and Joey Sherwood, Micheal Maletto, Emma Maletto-Stack, and Ricky and Philip Shipe; and a brother-in-law, Len Rushton of UK. Besides her parents and husband, Marjorie was predeceased by: a sister, Grace Rushton. There will be no visitation.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorials to the Kane Lutheran Home and will be accepting online condolences at www. nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com.
