OBITUARY Marjorie P. Blacksher October 11, 1922 – October 4, 2018 Marjorie P. Eddings Blacksher passed away on October 4, 2018 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was born on October 11, 1922 in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents, Ernest Calvert Eddings and Martha Heneritta Collins Eddings. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother.

She was a good cook, and her home was often a gathering place for family and friends. Marjorie was a member of First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches and was in the SOS Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Eastern Star and in her free time enjoyed square dancing and playing 42.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lonzo H Blacksher; daughter Janet Gwen Nolan. She is survived by children; son, Lonnie Ernest Blacksher and wife Charlotte, daughter, Davie Lyn Downs and husband Beauford, daughter, Martha Jean Gresham and husband David, son, Anthony Eddings Blacksher and wife Sue; grandchildren, Kim Anderson, Missy Murdock, Brandon Blacksher, Bret Hatton, Kim Marsh, Traci Lynne Barnes, Keith Downs, Carla Henson, Becky West, Chuck Gresham, Andrew Gresham, Jory Gresham, Clay Blacksher, April Suzann Hays, and Jordan J’Lyn Winder; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M Saturday at the funeral home.

Graveside Services will be held, 4:30 PM, Saturday, October 6, 2018, Bethel Cemetery in Appleby, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches, Texas. FAMILY She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lonzo H Blacksher; daughter Janet Gwen Nolan.

She is survived by children; son, Lonnie Ernest Blacksher and wife Charlotte, daughter, Davie Lyn Downs and husband Beauford, daughter, Martha Jean Gresham and husband David, son, Anthony Eddings Blacksher and wife Sue; grandchildren, Kim Anderson, Missy Murdock, Brandon Blacksher, Bret Hatton, Kim Marsh, Traci Lynne Barnes, Keith Downs, Carla Henson, Becky West, Chuck Gresham, Andrew Gresham, Jory Gresham, Clay Blacksher, April Suzann Hays, and Jordan J’Lyn Winder; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
