Mark Conro, 59, of Haines, Oregon passed away on October 22, 2018, near Haines. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 beginning at 2:00 PM at the First Church of the Nazarene. Directly following the memorial service a reception will be held in the church Fellowship Hall.

Mark Conro was born on July 29,1959, in Baker City, Oregon at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mark attended Baker High School and then moved to Jordan Valley, Oregon to work at the Delamar Silver Mine. He lived in Jordan Valley from the early 1980’s to the late 1990’s.

He moved back to Baker to care for his grandmother Zoe Frazier. Mark had a variety of jobs before finding his happy place as an equipment operator for Baker Sanitary. His hobbies consisted of dirt bike riding, hunting, fishing, shooting guns, and having late night fires with family and friends.

During Marks life, he accomplished too many things to list, but his most important accomplishment was the love he had for his family. Mark was one of a kind man and his legacy will live on in those that he leaves behind. Mark is survived by his parents Jim and Carol Conro, his wife Shelly Conro, his children; Brenna Montgomery (Jason), Keegan Conro, Jake Johnston, Chad, Chase, and Colton Ficek, Brianna and Skylar Blankenship.

He is also survived by a couple handfuls of grandchildren. Should friends and family desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Haines Rodeo through Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel at 1500 Dewey Ave. , Baker City, OR 97814.
