OBITUARY Marla Rae Cummings January 13, 1939 – January 30, 2019 Marla Rae Jones Cummings, age 80 of Coshocton, passed away, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 13, 1939 to the late Clyde and Nina (Creighton) Jones. On June 6, 1958, she married Paul Cummings who passed away in March of 2012.

She was a 1958 graduate of Conesville High School. She worked at Syck’s Bakery and Coshocton Headstart for almost 30 years. She was also a volunteer coordinator for the HELP program which provided rides to doctor’s appointments to those that needed assistance.

She is survived by her two children, Ron and Paula Cummings of Coshocton; son-in-law, Dickey McVay; granddaughter, Deidre McVay (Taylor) Schulmeister; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, friends and students. Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Carla Cummings McVay; brothers, Jim, Jack and Terry Jones; sister, Nancy Layman and step brother, Robert Carpenter. Per her wishes a cremation will take place.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:30am at the Church of Christ with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating.
