Marlene L. (Irish) Arthis, 81, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at her residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on July 25, 1937 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Annie (Cousins) Irish. Marlene was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools.

On February 11, 1972, she married George Arthis. He predeceased her on April 21, 2013. Marlene was a member of the American Legion Post #1142 and enjoyed going to garage sales and the casino and loved to travel.

Marlene is survived by children, Karen (Christopher M.) Ames, Theresa (Ryan) Murray and Thomas (late Mary) LaLande; grandchildren; Christopher T. Ames, Ryan (Jackie) Murray, Lisa Murray-Sadlo, Stephanie (Chris) Minard, Taylor LaLande and Ashley LaLade and great-grandchildren, Darlie, Addison and Ashlyn. She is also survived by sisters, Marilyn (late Benny) Skinner and Emma M. “Jackie” (late Jim) Pook; loving caregivers, Darlene, Barb, Marilyn, Piroska, Sue, Rose, Theresa, Fatu, Ruth and Lyn and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Marlene was predeceased by siblings.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 11th from 4-7 p.m. with a funeral service to follow visitation at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R. Goodlander. Please visit www.
