Obituary of Heather Wielgus Heather J. Wielgus, 72, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Montreal, Quebec on October 10, 1946. Heather worked as a home care aide and she loved caring for and helping people.

Heather’s other love was animals, especially dogs. She cared for her dogs with the same passion and commitment, as she had for her own family and people in her life. Besides caring for people and her dogs, she enjoyed listening to good blues music and just spending time with her family and friends.

Heather will be remembered as a very caring, giving and kind-hearted person. She is survived by her son, Richard J. (Kathleen) Kraft Jr.; daughter, Chelsey Wielgus; grandchildren, Allison, Cooper, Carley (Dot), Scott, Mariah and Kaila. Let’s not forget her dog, Alastair.

She was predeceased by her son, Patrick A. Kraft, and husband, John J. “Harmonica John” Wielgus. A Celebration of Heather’s Life will be held Sunday October 28th from 4-7PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC. , 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY.

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Heather’s memory may be made to an animal rescue organization of one’s choice.
