OBITUARY Martha Davis November 15, 1925 – November 8, 2018 Martha Louise Bridgewater Davis, 92, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was born on November 15, 1925 to William and Eva Moss Bridgewater. She was a graduate of Garfield High School.

She married Robert D. Davis on April 15, 1944. Martha is survived by two daughters, Linda McCammon of Rosedale and Joyce Ann White of Terre Haute; four grandchildren, Shawn McCammon of Rosedale, Robin Dunham (Sherry) of Volo, IL, Dana McCammon Metzger (James) of Oak Hill, VA, and Timothy White Jr. (Crystal) of Terre Haute; and three great-grandchildren, Soren Metzger, Danielle Metzger, and Bishop Metzger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; brothers, Kenneth and Donald Bridgewater; and a sister, Irene Osmon.

She was a member of Seelyville United Methodist Church. Martha retired after 32 years from Chesty Foods and later volunteered in the Chaplain’s Office at Union Hospital. Martha was a talented seamstress and made many beautiful quilts, pictures, and other needlework.

She also enjoyed walking around Collett Park, and the swimming exercise class at the YMCA where she made many friends. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, November 12 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home with Rev.

Bernie Jackson officiating. Martha will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.
