Obituary for Martha McCurdy (Fry) Martha Jean (Fry) McCurdy, 88, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died on Wednesday October 3, 2018 at the Meadows of West Shore, Camp Hill. She was born March 6, 1930 in Evart, Michigan, a daughter of the late Carl and Alma (Van Kuren) Fry. She and her husband Robert moved to Camp Hill in 1961.

After working for several firms, she retired from the Camp Hill Library, now the Cleve J. Frederickson Library, in 1992. She also was a volunteer for several groups, including Meals on Wheels, WITF, The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, and the Caring Committee of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Camp Hill, where she was a member. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Robert J. McCurdy, of Camp Hill; a daughter, Anne Elizabeth (McCurdy) Markel and her husband Brian, of Emigsville; three grandchildren Brittany Markel, of Emigsville; Ekaterina Warp, of Virginia, and Alexandra Pizarro, of Virginia; two sisters, Jane Dixson, of Pontiac, MI, and Joanne Rhoads, of Doniphan, MO; a brother, David Fry, of Louisville, KY; and her extended family, Kenneth and Diana Brubaker, of Mechanicsburg.

She has several foster children including Patricia Watts, of Camp Hill. They simply and lovingly called her Mom. She was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Fry.

A viewing will be held from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., on Monday, October 8, 2018 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, with a prayer service at 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3435 E. Trindle Rd. , Camp Hill, PA, 17011, with Rev. James M. Sterner as Celebrant.
