OBITUARY Stephen M. Fencel November 30, 1963 – September 24, 2018 Stephen M. Fencel, age 54, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on September 24, 2018 at Baptist South Hospital. Stephen was born in Aberdeen, Maryland and grew up in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Trinity High School in Shiremanstown, PA and also graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1988 with a BS in Business Logistics.

“Steve” worked at Daily Express of Carlisle, PA for 30 years where he held several executive positions in sales and operations throughout his career. Steve had a great sense of humor, he loved to “bust chops” whenever possible. He was an avid sportsman throughout his life and was nick named “the assassin” because of his uncanny ability to win golf matches against his brothers and friends.

He also loved to cook especially for his beloved family. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Carol Fencel; daughter, Alexa Fencel; son, Thomas Fencel; sister, Mary Jo DiBianco; brothers, Michael, Richard, Joseph John and Christopher; mother, Kathleen Fencel.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Richard M. Fencel. Celebration of Life will be November 2, 2018 at 10:00am, with visitation from 9:00 to 10:00am prior to service at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market St. Camp Hill. Memorial contributions can be made to Vietnam Veteran Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
