Obituary for Kenneth Wesley Potter Kenneth Wesley Potter, 60, of Camp Hill, passed away on Saturday December 1, 2018 at his home. Born on December 15, 1957 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Kenneth F. and Patricia (Reed) Potter. Ken was a graduate of East Pennsboro High School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Lebanon Valley College.

While attending Lebanon Valley he was a member of the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Science and the Phi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society. He was a retired Secondary Education Social Studies Teacher with Susquehanna Twp. High School.

Ken loved all types of competitive sports and was a loyal Philadelphia Sports Fan. He was a former Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for Susquehanna Twp. High School, Boys Basketball Coordinator and Coach for the Camp Hill Rec.

League, Camp Hill Little League Manager, and Camp Hill Junior High Boys Basketball Coach. He was also the J.V./Asst. Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for Hershey High School, Co-Director of the Elementary Basketball Program for the Hershey Rec League, Director of Derry Township Summer Basketball Camp, and Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for Big Spring High School in Newville.

Ken was also an instructor for Susquehanna Township Basketball Camps. Ken and his wife attended St. Peter Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg. When Ken wasn’t coaching basketball or teaching, he enjoyed fishing.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Susan J. (Meneeley) Potter, of Camp Hill, two sons, Kenneth F. Potter, II, and his wife Jessica, of Richmond, VA; and Patrick Potter, of Camp Hill; two grandsons, Benjamin and Jacob Potter, of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Thomas Potter, of New Kingstown, and Scott Potter, of Camp Hill; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal companions, his dogs Nugget and Cherokee. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Potter. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday December 8, 2018 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 130 Nittany Dr., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Rev.

Alex Martini officiating. A visitation with Ken’s family will be held in the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the start of the service. Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
