Peletier, NC Martha Marie Morton Rhue,91, died June 7 at Carteret HealthCare in Morehead City. She was a native of Onslow County , charter member of the Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church; charter member of Swansboro VFW and a volunteer at Hem of His Garment. She was preceded in death by her parents O.B. and Mattie Riggs Morton; her husband Robert Rhue ; her brother, James “Buster” Morton and her sisters, Margaret Goodwin, Olive Mae Beaudette and Ruth Waters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen Grubbs, Rev. Josiah Willis and Rev.

Wayne Best officiating. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall . Private burial will be in the Rhue Family Cemetery.

Surviving are her children; Larry Rhue , Jerry Rhue, Marie Rhue and Sheila Terry ; all of Peletier; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church 1300 Hwy 58 Swansboro, NC 28584.
