Martha’s Obituary Martha Sue Blevins was born September 11, 1951 and departed this life Sunday, May 12, 2019 reaching the age of 67 years. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (McDowell) Blevins. After graduating in 1969 from Monticello High School, she attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated in 1973.

She is survived by: two brothers, Bill (Phyllis) Schupp of Somerset, KY and Jim Blevins of Monticello, KY; one sister, Ellen Blevins of Glasgow, KY; one niece, Jennifer (Jack) Baker of Monticello, KY; one great nephew, Jakson Baker and two great nieces, Jayla and Jade Baker all of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, Howard and Mary Blevins, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Clodie McDowell; and paternal grandparents, Will and Victoria Blevins. Martha was a social worker and a local and regional supervisor for Cabinet of Families and Children Services.

She was a board member for the Wayne County Hospital and a dedicated member of the Wayne County Lions Club. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 between 5pm – 8pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
