Martha M. Convery (Nee,Ziara) Hammond Martha Convery, age 80, of Hammond, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 11, 2018. She is survived by three children: Patricia (Michael) Baum, Robert (Kristine) Convery and Suzanne Convery; four grandchildren: Lauren (Matt) Calhoun, Matthew Baum, Melissa Baum and Rachel Convery; two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Riley. Many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Patrick Convery; one son, William Joseph Convery; granddaughter, Brandi Convery; parents, Joseph and Mary Ziara and step sister Barbara Ziara. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Charles Mosley officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville.

Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Martha was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area and a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She and her late husband, Bill were the former owners and operators of Flick’s Tap in Hessville for over 23 years. Martha loved cooking and baking “goodies” for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
