Martin Hugh Tomlinson, 79, of Crescent City died unexpectedly Friday, October 26, 2018 in Crescent City. He was born April 10, 1939 in Fortuna to parents Everett Tomlinson and Elizabeth (Robinson) Tomlinson. Hugh worked in the woods at Miller-Rellim Redwood Company (Stimson Lumber) for 35 years until the entity closed down.

He loved to hunt, fish, camp, play cards, play cribbage but most of all, he loved to give everybody a hard time. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Darlene (Connolly) Tomlinson, son Martin (Thelma) Tomlinson, daughter Cheryl Tomlinson, ten grandchildren – Dominique Tomlinson, Camaleeha Tomlinson, Stefhan (Hannah) Tomlinson, Sasha (James) Miller, Shala (Heather) Bolen, Shyna Flores-Bolen, Hannah (Maxwell Pullin) Martin, Kilan (Ash Nicole) Martin, Syndi Davis and Riley Davis including two honorary grandchildren Lulu and Lana.

Eleven great-grandchildren, niece Mara Hope (David) Severns, two other nieces, two nephews and numerous other family and friends. One of his great grandchildren being the fourth generation Tomlinson, Blake Parker Tomlinson which he as quite proud of. He will be greatly missed by all.
