Martin J. “Marty” Anderson, 79, of Butler passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born October 5,1938 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late James W. and Mary Bressel Anderson. Marty owned and operated several service stations in the surrounding Pittsburgh area.

He enjoyed automobile racing, motorcycles and enjoyed working on vehicles. Surviving are his four sons: Michael (Tracy) Anderson of Prospect; Martin Anderson, Jr. of Columbus, OH; Thomas Anderson of Zelienople and John Anderson of Butler. Five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous siblings. Friends will gather at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Thursday.

A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm Thursday, with Rev. Chris Marshall of the New Life Christian Ministries to officiate.
