January 6, 1923 – May 28, 2018 Marvel Mishler, 95, of Albany, passed away peacefully at the Evergreen Hospice House, surrounded by family. The son of Charlie and Jean (Savage) Mishler, he was born in Chino, California. Marvel married Lois Irwin in 1945 in Eugene.

She passed in 1970. Marvel married Evelyn Hansey February 12, 1972 in Junction City. Marvel lived in Brownsville for many years and was active in the community.

He was known for his contagious laugh, green thumb and talent for woodworking. In addition to his interests, over the years Marvel worked for Schneider Lumber Co. in Brownsville, operated the Sweet Shop with his wife Lois for 5 years in Brownsville, worked for the City of Brownsville and retired from Oregon Strand Board Co. in 1988. Marvel and Evelyn moved to Albany in 1985, where he spent his active retirement enjoying camping, traveling, and gardening.

Marvel is survived by his wife Evelyn; children, Marilyn and her husband Ken, Paul and his wife Wells, Myrna and her husband Keith, Elaine and her husband Larry; grandchildren, Mike, Michelle, Zachary, Travis; and great grandchildren, Erin and Emerson. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Eugene, Calvin and Evelyn. Private graveside services will be held at Willamette Memorial Park, memorial service will be 11:30a.m. Saturday, June 9 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Albany.
