Marvin’s Obituary Marvin M. Carlson, 61, of Kentland, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on February 7, 2019. He was born February 26, 1957 in Rensselaer to the late Marcia (Chapman) Carlson. He was a graduate of South Newton High School.

His marriage was to Cherie Miller on November 15, 1975 in Kentland and they later divorced. Marvin was a life long resident of Newton County. He was a member of SASS and the NRA.

Marvin worked for One Source until his retirement. In his spare time, Marvin enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, camping, classic cars, and time spent with children and grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Melissa (husband: Mathiey) Chamberlain of Lafayette and Candice (husband: Rick) Ramon of Kentland.
