Mary Adolyn Brower , June 27, 1932 — February 27, 2019

“Mary Adolyn Winters Brower passed away peacefully at home in Stockton, Utah on February 27, 2019. She lived a life filled with service and love for her family and although disease in her later years took away many of her memories, she never lost her strong and abiding testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born June 27, 1932 in Pleasant Grove, Utah where she spent the majority of her young life.

During her early twenties while working in Salt Lake City, she had the opportunity to live in The Beehive House which was used as a boarding house for young women. Much later, during a tour of the home, she shared some of her interesting and funny experiences with her daughters, granddaughters, and the tour guide. She married and raised her young family in Idaho where friends and priesthood holders helped her stay committed to bringing up her children in the gospel during some difficult years.

At age 41, she met and married Keith Daniel Brower and the two of them worked hard to create a home together. The last two and a half years of Mary’s life were spent in the Gorringe home where she was lovingly cared for by her husband, the Gorringe family, and her special caregiver, Jolene Beard. Mary is survived by her eternal companion of 45 years, Keith Daniel Brower, children, Bonnie Ashcroft, Cathleen (Keith) Thurgood, Cristine (Toby) Gorringe, and Brian (Kim) Brower, step-daughter Sherry (Ken) Bulmahn, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sister Norma (Dee) Freeman, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Ray Winters and Norma Irene Sundberg, son-in-law Michael Ashcroft, grandson Steven Ashcroft, 4 brothers, 4 sisters, several nephews and 1 niece. Her family enjoyed her quick sense of humor which she maintained to the very end. She will be remembered and honored for her kind heart, giving nature, and her love for God and her family.

Graveside services will be held March 22, 2019 at 1 PM at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 500 North Main”.
