Mary Ann Alvey, age 65, of Huntingburg, formerly of Velpen, passed away at 8:16 a.m., on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born January 9, 1953, in Perry County, Indiana to Earl and Theresa (Kupper) Kline; and married Jerry Ray Alvey in 1977 at Rockport. Mary worked as a housekeeper and dietary aide at Providence Home in Jasper; was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg; and enjoyed angels, yard sales, and country… Read More » music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jerry Ray Alvey, who died January 29, 2013. She is survived by two sisters, Betty (Roger) Phillips of Huntingburg and Marlene King of Stendal; and three brothers, Richard (Ann) Kline of Stendal, Kenneth (Jennifer) Kline of Jasper and Gabriel (Carrie) Kline of Dubois. Funeral services for Mary Ann Alvey will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand. Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday, April 30th.

A parish vigil prayer service, led by Deacon Tom Holsworth, will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Condolences shared online at: www.
