Winsted: Mary Ann Pappalardo. 91, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018, at Cherry Brook in Canton, following a long illness. Born in Winsted, January 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Angelina (Sidoti) Pappalardo and had lived here all of her life.

She had attended local schools and looked after both of her parents until they both passed away. As a youngster, she enjoyed ice skating and had won a trophy for bowling. Mary loved playing bingo and watching the UConn women play basketball on TV.

Her survivors include a brother, Dr. John Pappalardo and his wife Margaret of Avon, and several nieces & nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 10, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Winsted. There are no calling hours.

Burial will be in St. Joseph new Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church or St. Anthony School.
