Mary Ann Swan (Trombetti) passed away October 21, 2018 at her home in Overland Park, Kansas surrounded by her family. She was diagnosed with Parkinson’s PSP Disease in 2012. She gave a brave and valiant fight against this disease for several years, but in the end her body gave into it.

She passed away quietly with a final sigh of pain and relief. We believe that she has gone on to a much happier place free of pain and seeing her family. Mary Ann was born September 28, 1938 in Lyons, New York to Henry and Angeline Trombetti.

She was married July 4, 1960 to Charles William Swan for fifty-one years of marriage. They lived in Overland Park, Kansas since moving here in 1965 from New York. Mary Ann’s husband died in 2012 from Parkinson’s Disease.

She is survived by her three beloved children, daughter Michelle Harold with her fiancé Les Edvalds, daughter Charlene Kupersmith with her husband Tim Kupersmith, son Chris Swan with his wife Barbara Swan; her six beloved grandchildren Jacob Kupersmith with his wife Erin Kupersmith, Samantha Harold with her girlfriend Sydney Bugler, Lauren Kupersmith, Jordan Kupersmith, Carley Swan, and Aliza Swan; her brother, Robert Trombetti, and her sister-in-law Donelda Picotte with her husband Don Picotte. Also, she is survived by an extended family of many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews living around the country. Mary Ann was a strong and loving woman.

She cared deeply for her family. She wanted the best for her children and their futures. She adored all of her grandchildren and loved to watch them in their special activities.

Many special memories were created with Mary Ann. Mary Ann worked for several years as a secretarial aide at Pawnee Elementary School. Throughout her life, she developed some very special and long-lasting friendships that carried her through rough times.

She was always there to help anyone in need. Please join us to celebrate the life of Mary Ann Swan (Trombetti) on Friday October 26th at 11:00am. The Catholic Mass will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church located at 8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, Kansas; and the visitation gathering will be held immediately following the Mass in the church basement.

Then, the crypt placement ceremony will be following the Visitation at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery located at 83rd Street and Quivira Road, Lenexa, Kansas. Flowers are beautiful and Mary Ann loved her flowers; but they do fade over time.
