Mary Anne Baschnagel (Smith), age 84, passed away on January 9, 2019 at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor. She was born in New York, New York on June 29, 1934. She currently lived in Largo, Florida.

She was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1955. She is survived by her son, Walter Baschnagel, Jr. (Julie) ; daughter, Jacqueline Lane (Jeff); three grandchildren; Elizabeth (Chris), Christa, and Katie (Josh); four great-grandchildren; Cara, Cooper, Luca, and Noah. A private burial will take place at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice, Palm Harbor.
