Mary’s Obituary Mary M. Bruchert, 76, of West Lafayette passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born August 12, 1942 in Marches Point, Canada to the late John E. and Clara (Simon) Benoit. She was a graduate of Our Lady of the Cape Catholic High School in Newfoundland, Canada.

She married the love of her life James R. Bruchert on November 29, 1959 in Degau, Newfoundland, Canada. He survives. Mary was a horticulturist with an exceptional green thumb.

She also was amazing at knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She made beautiful table cloths and runners. She was an excellent cook and baker and she made the best homemade bread!

She had many talents and skills and worked as a paramedic and was on the town council. She is survived by her husband Jim; son, William (Mary) Bruchert of West Lafayette; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sons, Bobby and Jimmy.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of memorial service at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Pkwy West, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
